Draven's Portal is a simple site designed to display all of the "Draven" websites created by Jon Upton. Currently the sites are Draven's Den which focuses on Martial Arts, Draven's Portal Forum which is a discussion board that deals with a great deal of entertainment mediums. (Check below for more info on Dravens Portal Forum) Drazel's Dungeons and Dragons Realm is being worked on and will soon be added to the portal. Future partners are being looked at. Another area of interest that has not gone any further than a thought is a sports type website. So as you can see this page is hopefully going to have something for a wide range of people.

Draven's Portal Forum officially started in November of 2005. It is focused around a few of "Draven's" interests: Gaming, RPG's, Movies, Books, and Computers. The original site was at http://www.uptonspc.com/forum. We first used phpBB forum simply because it was free and that was the type of forum we were experience in, but it was switched to simple machines forum in February 2006 simply because it offered many more features. Draven's Portal domain was purchased on January 27th, 2006, to promote and increase traffic and make it much easier for people to remember the site name. (the direct link was hard to remember because it was hosted on a sub domain, http://dravensportal.uptonspc.com/drvpforum/)

In mid 2007 some issues caused Draven's Portal to shut down. A problem with the host also arose making the process to get back online even longer. After all this was straightened out we got a new host and now the domain name is no longer in a subdomain, which should help a little with load times and other site issues. Starting fresh in 2008 with a new host and a "face lift" to come, we hope the site will grow in popularity.
